Cea mai tare batalie anuala pentru suprematie in materie de videoclipuri va avea loc duminica, 28 august, in Los Angeles si va fi transmisa in direct de MTV!
Kanye West este masculul alfa cand vine vorba de multitudinea de premii la care este nominalizat: pe langa cele sapte categorii la care concureaza impreuna cu Katy Perry cu piesa “E.T”, acesta are sanse sa castige si alte premii cu videoclipurile “All of Lights” si “Power”. Katy Perry conduce lista candidatelor la premiile VMA cu nu mai putin de noua nominalizari printre care se numara si “Video Of The Year” si “Best Female Video” pentru hit-ul “Firework”, o nominalizare pentru “Best Pop Video” cu single-ul “Last Friday Night” si “Best special Effects” cu videoclipul sau futuristic, “E.T” feat, declarat cel mai vandut single in America.
Nici Adele nu s-a lasat mai prejos, aceasta reusind sa stranga sapte nominalizari la premiile VMA printre care si “Video Of the Year”, “Best Female Video” sau “Best Pop Video” cu piesa “Rolling in the deep”.
2011 VMA reuneste nu doar veterani ai muzicii de orice gen, dar si artisti noi ca Silky si Bruno Mars care vor fi prezenti la gala din Los Angeles.
